Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep” or “sleep based healing” is a state of conscious relaxation that
promotes deep rest and profound relaxation. It is guided meditation technique that leads you into a state between wakefulness and sleep, where your body is in a complete state of relaxation while your mind remains awake and attentive.
During a Yoga Nidra session, you lie down in a comfortable position and follow the instructions of a guide who takes you through a series of visualizations, body scans, and awareness exercises. The goal is to progressively relax every part of your body and mind, leading to a state of deep calmness and inner awareness.
Yoga Nidra is known to have various benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety, and tension, improving sleep quality, enhancing self-awareness, and promoting overall mental and emotional well-being. It’s a practice that offers both relaxation and an opportunity for self-discovery.
